the story

A labour of love, family, heritage and place. A house, and a home, is more than bricks and mortar. We are heirs to the history of this place and custodians of its heritage for the next generation. The home house is a family project, about preserving that space and inviting you to share in its magic.

“We had an amazing visit and will definitely be back. The place was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is really peaceful and the hosts were extremely friendly whilst sill allowing you privacy. We are already thinking about another trip during the summer!”

“Been coming to Plumbridge for 40+ years as my mum was born here (McCullagh). Loved staying here! The breathtaking views and tidy, quiet paradise made this sad trip home a bit easier. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous house with us. We will definitely be back.

“Had a very memorable two nights here – a wonderfully peaceful and cosy retreat in the country. Thank you for a wonderful visit. We really appreciated having a toasty warm fire in this weather. Thank you Celine for preparing the house so well. We enjoyed a trip to the Ulster American Folk Park, the old history museum buildings a the Glenpark Estate, driving through the Sperrins and the views of Glenelly. Nice to see where the Watsons of Glencoppagh once lived. A beautiful place.

“What a beautiful cottage, definitely a home from home. We visited both giants at the Giants’ Causeway and at Gortin Glen Forest Park which are both great walks. The Auld Bank at Gortin does great coffee and 15’s. Glenelly Bar in Plumbridge was great craic. We visited family in co. Monaghan and Gyles Quay, so lots of driving. What a beautiful part of the world with wonderful people! Thank you for everything!

“Breathtaking views, comfortable bed and linen. Peaceful surroundings and very clean instructions and communications. Highly recommended. Thank you for a wonderful stay at a lovely farmhouse. It is so beautiful here! Thank you to you, Shaun and Seamus, for such a lovely place to stay. I even saw the sheep sale and took a few photos of yellow sheep & farmers. Simply wonderful! I came from a sheep and wheat farm as a child in New South Wales, Australia.
